Many of us seem to be on the same wavelength with this. We lived the late night chilled vibes of ceefax. Wish they would bring it back.

Sounds weird, I know but i tended to fall asleep with the telly on and wake in the very small hours to the ceefax pages and music. It was always so relaxing. I loved this.

I remember those days of feeling as though I was the only person awake in the whole world I would lie in bed staring at the screen thinking about life

Many years ago I had trouble sleeping without the TV on if my wife wasn't in the bed with me, so I used to put analogue TV on in the middle of the night to listen to the Ceefax music quietly. She started enjoying sleeping that way too, lol. I know you get worse sleep with background noise, but it really was lovely.

Was this music specifically commissioned by the BBC for Ceefax?

This is a really good tape, but the jazzy ones (which I like: they're really good tracks) are totally out of context and mess up the flow of it!
